HISTORY OF HIGHDOWN GARDENS & HERITAGE PROJECT. ALEX NEW


A talk on the history of Highdown Gardens. Also the heritage lottery project that Alex has been undertaking and his role in the preservation of its national plant collection.

COACH OUTING TO RHS HYDE HALL.


Wisley you may think has undergone extensive changes! Wait until you see the completely revamped Hyde Hall. Its highlights are roses, ponds, a dry garden, vegetable garden and plenty of seats among the lush lawns to sit and admire the varied colour filled beds.

Jim is a renowned horticulturalist who has spent a lifetime in gardening. Seen on TV and radio, his knowledge is boundless and very entertaining. Look forward to an enjoyable evening.

COACH OUTING TO NT SHEFFIELD PARK


I must admit it was the hottest day of 2022 on the coach and at Wisley when by a resounding majority of 42 to 1 (I know who you are!) this Autumn tints trip was born.

SOCIAL EVENING

HISTORIC WORTHING, CHRIS HARE


Chris was born in Worthing and has written numerous books on Sussex history and folklore. Enjoy an interesting and informative talk on the wide and varied history of our town.

NOTE: Meeting to be held at St Mary's Hall at 2pm.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING.


Nominations for Officers to be received by the Hon. Sec. 7 days before the AGM.

Then Alistair Whitby will present THE EPIC PROJECT. This is a community wetland restoration project which has brought a new watercourse, walks and an abundance of wildlife to Sompting Church Farm.

Working sustainably, with the seasons Tony is a local artisan working from seed to vase, growing flowers that are full of character and informal beauty.
